I’m an award-winning storyteller, writer, and researcher. My work has been featured in ESSENCE Magazine, Sports Illustrated, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Teen Vogue, FiveThirtyEight, and more.

Throughout my career, I’ve learned what I’m most passionate about: executing on a vision and taking long-term creative projects from a concept to a finished product. It doesn’t matter if the end result is a story, multimedia platform, or research project – I simply love to bring creative ideas to life.

As a copywriter in tech, I owned the storytelling for Toast’s Intranet and internal magazine. My writing helped the company reach its business goals. After launching The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s first politics podcast, I managed the podcast production and development for four years while developing a women’s basketball beat at the paper.

I launched The Black Sportswoman in 2020, and through the multimedia platform about Black women athletes in sports history, I gained a significant amount of business, strategy, and editorial skills – read more about those here. Before I closed the platform in May 2024, I was invited to speak at Georgia Tech, University of Florida, St. Norbert’s College, and other institutions. I also collaborated with national and international organizations

My work as a managing editor and social and digital media producer in smaller newsrooms gave me opportunities to develop coaching, copy and developmental editing, SEO, marketing, and social media strategy skills.

My research skills have grown immensely while in graduate school. I’ve also continued to develop my interviewing and writing abilities, adding nonprofit impact writing, curatorial writing, and historical content writing.

I’m currently open to full-time and freelance opportunities. Contact me if you’d like to work together or if you’re interested in seeing more of my clips.
